Casing frames every door and window in the house. We install traditional casing, craftsman casing, and mission casing to match existing trim or a new style in New Jersey homes. MDF holds paint beautifully, has consistent profiles, and costs less. It doesn’t belong in bathrooms, mudrooms, or anywhere it might see standing water. Pine or poplar wood handles moisture better and lets you nail without predrilling in tight spots.
Usually yes. We measure the existing profile at the site and match with stock molding when we can. If the profile is discontinued we build up an equivalent from smaller pieces or knife-match it at a mill for larger projects.
Usually yes. Removing shoe cleanly is tough, and new flooring often changes the height enough that the old shoe won’t fit right when reinstalled. New shoe also lets us cover the expansion gap the flooring installer leaves along the baseboard.
